About Our Instructors:
Sean and Mary have a combined 25 years experience in Jiu-Jitsu. The both love instructing and helping each person that comes into their gym learn cutting edge jiu-jitsu. Their teaching ranges from self-defense based grappling all the way to high level competition Jiu-Jitsu. They both train and study extensively to bring you the very best grappling in the Southeast United States!
Sean McCleary is co owner and instructor of McCleary Jiu-Jitsu Camden. He is an active nogi competitor that has competed on professional shows such as F2W, EBI qualifiers, and Chael Sonnen's SUG. His current goals are to be ADCC bound. Sean found Jiu-Jitsu at 22 years old and has been training ever since! Sean received his black belt in 2021 from Scott Devine. Sean specializes in Nogi and leg lock submissions.
Mary McCleary is Co owner and instructor at McCleary Jiu-Jitsu. She is a first degree black belt and has been training for the past 15 years. Mary is the competition coach as well as the sole instructor for her ladies only jiu-jitsu program. She organizes and holds women's jiu-jitsu open mats several times a year, always encouraging a stronger female presence in the art. Mary has an affinity for Gi jiu-jitsu and specificallly armbars.
